Why should we have all the fun this Easter holiday? Obviously, dogs cannot have chocolate like we can! So, here are three natural dog Easter treat recipes you can try at home:

  1. Carrot and Peanut Butter Treats:

  • 2 cups of grated carrots

  • 1 cup of oat flour

  • 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter

  • 2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until it forms a dough. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into desired shapes. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

2. Sweet Potato and Spinach Bites:

  • 1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed

  • 2 cups of fresh spinach

  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats

  • 1 egg

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil sweet potato until soft, drain and mash in a bowl. Mix in chopped spinach, rolled oats, and beaten egg. Form the mixture into small balls and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until firm.

3. Banana and Blueberry Pupsicles:

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries

  • 1/2 cup of plain yogurt

  • 1/2 cup of water

Blend all ingredients together in a blender or food processor. Pour mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze for 2-3 hours or until solid. Pop out and serve as a cool and refreshing Easter treat for your pup.

Remember to always consult with your veterinarian before introducing new treats to your dog's diet, especially if they have any dietary restrictions or allergies.
